"First Friday Art Walk", sponsored by "The Graceful Arts Center", will be held on Feb.3, from 6:00-8:00. The theme for February is "Textile/Fiber Arts". Many area fiber artists will have displays set up for the month of February.

In addition, the Nescatunga Arts Council will have a showing on that evening as well, with small hand made items. If you would like to display your hand made item, such as bags, aprons, small quilts, pillows, cross stitch, needle point, crochet, knitting, etc. please contact Charla Parker (580-327-3700) or Alva Sewing Center. My sewing kids will have some of their things on display that evening as well. Alva Sewing Center will be open with special deals on embroidery/sewing machines, sergers, quilt machines, and cabinets. Come let your "Artsy" side shine!

Friday January 27, is "Finish Up Friday". Leave your phone at home and come sew uninterrupted to finish up those pesky projects or start a new project! Use our tables and machines at no charge. Need a little help on something? I'm here to help if you need it, but there is no formal instruction.

Tuesday February 7, starting around 9:30 and lasting most of the day, we will be doing different kinds of embroidery, like thread velvet, free standing applique, lace, etc. We will be working with different kinds of stabilizers and threads as well. Bring your embroidery machine, embroidery unit, threads, bobbin threads, and come be creative and have some fun! We will also work a little in the 5D Embroidery Software. Bring a sack lunch if you want.
